google voice / voicemail problem

I have an Evo, and I use google voice for my voicemail. For the past 3 days, when someone calls me, my phone rings like normal. If I don't answer, the caller does not get my voicemail, they get "we could not complete your call, please try again". How do I fix this?

Like I said, the call works, I can answer with no problem, it's just the problem with no voicemail

I get this same problem. It occurred when I traveled. I went to the forum for Voice over on Google and this is a known problem through Google Voice number and/or Google Voice Voicemail. It has to do with the routing of phone numbers. From the forum, it sounds like this problem is not getting resolved quickly. My number worked when I was in CA, but now that I am out of state, callers get the same message if it goes to voicemail. Before Google Voice I used Phonetag for transcription. I just went back to it, until Google gets the problem sorted. Really surprising that Google Voice has this big problem. Created havoc for me until a) figured out what was happening, b) switched away from Google Voice. Lost a lot of communication. Someone on the forum said something about resigning up to get a new number that might work better.

That's interesting. I've been experiencing the same thing lately. I didn't know what the problem was.
