Google Voice?

So I downloaded the Google Voice app so I can make calls n texts on my phone since I no long er have service. I got the texts working fine, but I can't make any calls. It also made me put in a number, so I used my house number. Whenever someone calls it, it goes to my house phone. Can someone help me figure this out, I would like to be able to make calls.

all it does is translate your number thru your existing voice line. you need service for voice to work....it doesnt work like voip. if you have no service at all its great for txting in wifi spots. for voice over wifi try maybe try skype.

Grooveip world great as well I have the same issue with my optimus and yes I know this is HTC we are talking about but I am switching to htc
