Google vs Samsung STT

I've been away from Android for a bit so forgive me...I see that there is only an option for the Samsung Keyboard as well as only Samsun speech to text. I thought on my previous devices you could choose a Google keyboard and Google speech to text or a combo of both, no?

You can download any keyboard from the play store.

Yes, you certainly replace the keyboard. I use Google keyboard and messaging over the stock Samsung ones.

Ok so they are not part of the stock build, they need to be downloaded from the Play Store.

Gboard is still significantly better than the Stock Samsung keyboard. Not sure why they bother with one. I prefer their messaging app though because with One UI it's easier to reach the search button etc with one hand.
