Noticed on PC World an article about possible security problems if you have Google Wallet on a rooted Galaxy Nexus. Some of you might find this of interest if you hadn't already seen anything about it.

UPDATE: Google Wallet Security Concerns Raised | PCWorld

plus the recent posting on Android Central

Anyone concerned? Will it make you take extra security measures or quit using Google Wallet all together? Or maybe just until these things are fixed?

Well, as soon as I DL'd Wallet i started using a pin on my lock--of course, it's different than the wallet one.

This isn't that shocking, but it is concerning. I mean the first step is your phone has to be taken. The second is they need to use brute force to crack the pin. It's a concern, but unlikely if you're really careful IMHO.

That being said, secure secure secure!

It's almost scary how easy it is to "hack" Google Wallet. I just have the prepaid card on there with about $7 on it. I'm not too concerned about it.

BTW, I've read that prepaid cards take weeks to refund. I used it on a vending machine last night; took out $5, only spent $1.25. :(

I haven't had any problems with it. However, I very rarely use it. There are only a couple gas stations and some McDonald's (which I don't even eat at anyway) where I can use the app at around my area.

The $5.00 thing seems standard; when I use my GoCard here at school, it takes out X amount but charges Y amount. Just takes longer with the prepaid thing I suppose.

There's a LOT of places around me; 711s, CVSs, random vending machines, Wegman's. I'm in heaven!

I'm not too worried about it. You're more likely to lose your card or have some store employee steal your card's information. Plus, the vulnerability only affects rooted phones which aside from folks who haunt the Android forums a small percentage of users.
