So I did my daily check to see if there's an update for gw and according to a use Samsung issued an update that fixed gw for them yet we're still left in limbo and our phone has been out longer and the issue has been known longer....

LOL... And HTC used to be premier Google partner, one of the first to piss MS off and start supporting Androids... and we have come to this now ?

HTC - I think you guys should really become serious about keeping your position in m market.

Samsung and Google just also announced this past weekend that they will very quickly fix the issues that are threatening sale of Samsungs in US..

Looks like Google has a new love partner, and HTC aint it any more :-X

Gw not supported on htc one x, don't know why. It's being advertised on Olympic commercials as NFC capable.. what else does it need? Why does carrier matter?

Its been fixed on the evo with the last update that the evo got and works on my evo lte.

When I go into Gmail the screen is blank. Google Wallet screen is blank. Play store is not working, can't update any apps I downloaded.

What is going on right now? Only had the phone for 5 days, and now Google apps are freaking out.

I turned to phone off twice gave it 5 minutes each time before I turned it back on, and still no luck.

Does anyone else has this problem?

Yes, several have reported this. To make it stop I have to pick Restart from the hold-power-button Phone options menu, not Power off. Once the phone has finished restarting the problem goes away for a day, a week... but I can't say it's fixed. Comes and goes, usually sometime during the night for me.

Go into your settings and turn off "fast boot". What this does is when you shutdown your phone it really just puts it in a sleep mode, doesn't clear everything out.

Or, as the above poster noted, doing a "restart") does completely reboot the device too.

I did that after turning it off twice. I broke down and reset to factory, and started over again, luckily I have My Backup Pro.

I'd like to know if the factory reset seems to make the problem go away for good. If you don't see the Gmail white-out etc. for a week or ten days, I'd call that a cure. Hope it works for you!
