I remember a while back ago where Google said something about if u have a phone running 2.3 and wanted nfc for ur fone, then they could send u sticker with the nfc chip on it. Like the alarms on products in stores. And u can place it on ur fone or inside the battery cover. And attach ONE credit card number to it. I want this.

I personally don't want this feature. I have it on my Chase card as it is and I never use it. I guess I am old school and would rather present a card myself and KNOW that I bought something.

Bet we will hear in the news within a year or 2 that some HACKER group devised a device that can scan NFC signals or someone will make a device and just walk around mall's picking up signals........BIG BROTHER is watchin!......LOLOL

Hey fellas. I actually just got an email from Google the other day(Nov 18th) saying that my Google Checkout account, from being used on the Market, will be transferred to the Google Wallet online service. So I guess we really don't have a choice unless you remove your credit card accounts from their system, if you can.

I wonder if Google has safeguard, i.e. your phone has to be unlocked before the phone emits the credit card info? If not that would be cool

Take off the tin foil hat for a moment. Someone would need to pretty much bump into you to be close enough to read it as NFC doesn't travel that far anyways.

In a shopping area I don't think that would be a problem. Think black Friday.

Google Wallet - mobile app security

A locked wallet is a safer wallet

Google Wallet requires you to set up a Google Wallet PIN that must be entered before making a purchase. This PIN prevents unauthorized access and payments via Google Wallet. Android phones also feature a separate lock screen.
