It does still work on rooted devices. Used mine this morning. Have you tried a different apk?

Just what's supplied with the ROM. Which apk works? I keep getting the whole it's rooted so we don't let you use it message.

I'm also on 4.0.4. That shouldn't affect it, right?

I'm using Codename 1.5.5 and Wallet was not part of it. The ROM is 4.0.3

I installed based on this link: [APP] Google Wallet (APK: 1.1-R52v7) [09/03/2012] - xda-developers

I also get the message about it being an unsupported device which I think is nothing more than a disclaimer.

EDIT: Missed the 4.0.4 question, unfortunately I don't have an answer for that one.

What do you mean by 'refused'? Was there no interaction at all between the paypass machine (green lights), did your GW not show the 'Send' response, or did the transaction get denied after those two previous steps?

No interaction whatsoever. It wouldn't come up at all.

Keep in mind, I have used it extensively before the pre-paid cards and such were shut down. So it's not like it was my first go round. I'll chalk it up to craziness and try again at another location.

I have a replacement phone since the last I've used it, but same battery so I presume all is well there. Would be somewhat ironic if it was borked lol

I noticed Walgreen's stores have brand new terminals with the Tap & Go-style receiver on the top of the pinpad. It even has the PayPass logo, but no PayPass signage. I gave it a try today and it didn't work with Google Wallet. Just to make sure my app/phone combo was working, I bought some junk food at 7-11 down the street: No problems.

The unsupported device message is nothing more than a disclaimer. If it ain't working, it is attributed to something else. Mine works while still displaying that message.

Do I just simply hold up my phone to the receiver with the app open? If that is the way to do it, then it doesn't work for me.

I tried using Google Wallet at Best Buy and it communicated with the terminal and even said that the money was sent but the register never recognized that I had paid and no money came out of my account. Anybody else have this issue? Is it probably just an issue at that store? I'll have to find another place to try it out.

My Best Buys terminals were messed up. They actually told me that Pay pass was down before I even tried. It WAS working there for a while but something happened to their system apparently.

Yes, I have. I've used it so far at McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Circle K, and Chevron. I can't seem to get it to work though at Home Depots.

My local Home Depot asks for a pin number input. When it asks, you have to hit the cancel button, then the transaction goes through. It's the only place that does that, weird.

Yes. Happening on stock 4.02 to me. Showing sent on Google walleye but not going through at the store

Funny/Annoying story...

Today I went into Chevron on my way to work and noticed their Paypass terminal was fixed (had a not working sign for months) and threw $20 on my prepaid card and grabbed some redbull. Went to pay and the cashier said I cant except that. I said why not and he said he needs to see the card and he cancelled the purchase on his screen.

I said it went through look it even shows the virtual receipt. He said its store policy I need to see the card and I showed him the virtual card and he just would not except it all. I just laughed at him and said I will spend my money at 7-11 and walked out. It made me laugh at how he would refuse to accept it even though it went through (since he cancelled the transaction it does not deduct it from my prepaid card)...also annoyed I had to make a second stop to get my redbull fix

Now I am tempted to print out all the pages from googles website to show him its legit lol
