I exclusively use my Nexus 5/Google Wallet to pay for things I buy at both CVS and McDonald's in IL. The Walgreens here has a console for tap to pay, but they don't have it connected. I asked them why and they said because nobody uses it. I responded with people might use it if it was actually connected, and they said it wasn't worth the time. Glad I only get one prescription at Walgreens. I've never had an issue with it recognizing or authorizing payment, and I usually do just have to tap. I always tell the cashier credit as soon as a tap, though, so maybe they don't have time to push the wrong thing and cause problems with the transaction.

I've only had the chance to use my Nexus 5 and Google Wallet at Toys R Us. I've used it a few times at 2 different locations and states...never had any problems. I like to go there and pay with my phone just for the looks of cashiers and people in line, they're always like "did he just pay with his phone!?"

I used mine 2day. This lady standing next to me online asked me how did I use my phone to pay for my food. It worked w/o a problem.
