Google Weather app no longer compatible after Android 15 update

On one of my other posts, Tomster88 indicated that he couldn't install the Google Weather app on his Pixel 8 Pro after the Android 15 update. The reason was because it was shown to be incompatible with his device. In checking the installed (but disabled by me) Google Weather app on my Pixel 8 Pro, I found the same thing to be true after the update - it was shown to no longer be compatible with my device.

I don't know if this is a general issue with all updated Pixels or not, but, if you use the Google Weather app and have installed the Android 15 update, you might want to check yours.

I sent feedback to Google that their Weather app is shown to be no longer compatible with the Pixel 8 Pro and that no alternative/updated Google app is shown in apps/Google Play Store. You might want to consider doing so, as well, if you are also experiencing the issue.

I noticed my widget now says Pixel Weather. I don't know if that is the same app but the display seems the same.

Interesting. I don't see a "Pixel Weather" app made by Google in the Play Store. There are "Pixel Weather" apps made by other developers shown in the Play Store. I'm wondering if the Google Weather app was taken out of circulation for Pixels for some reason and the replacement (Pixel Weather?) just hasn't dropped yet.

It still shows as "Weather" in the app store when I click on it thru ALL APPS but now shows the incompatible message. The widget is the only thing that shows Pixel Weather and works fine so IDK.

I actually contacted Google support today and they said they are aware of this issue and they're working on a fix. They said they would send me an email once it's fixed. Fingers crossed!

I received an update to the Weather app this morning (10/23). It fixed the issue on my P8P. It's also available in the Play Store again

Interesting. Although the Google Weather app is on my Pixel Watch 2 (always has been and never lost it), it still shows as not compatible with my Pixel 8 Pro in the Play Store and there is no Pixel Weather app to be found there.

All of the reports I have seen on Reddit and elsewhere are for 8 and 7 series Pixels.

I haven't either, but I read a couple of reports on Reddit where P8P users said they had received it today - others saying they are still waiting. If the accounts of receiving it are true, it won't be long for the rest of us.

Maybe they're updating the app a little bit at a time. I hope you'll get it soon.

Should try Clearing data and Force stop the app if it doesn't work uninstall the update and see if previous version works
