Google weather in notification bar?

Yep, I have that turned on as well. I do have "Show silently" and not "Show silently and minimize" Any idea what the minimize does?

Minimize is to show in notifications panel

I had just "show silently". Changed it to "show silently and minimize". I will report back if the weather now shows in the notification panel. May take a few hours? Didn't immediately show when I made the switch.

So it has been about 12+ hours since I made the change and the result is still the same. I even restarted my phone and no dice. Perhaps one day the notification will appear.

From what I've noticed is if you see your local weather at the very top of your Google feed page when you swipe right it should show in your notifications as well..... that's how it's worked for me from marshmallow up through Pie. That's the default settings.

When I first got my Pixel 3, I saw the Weather Update in Notification. I didn't want it there because it is already on the home screen, so I went to Customize Discovery and turned it off. I turned off a bunch of other stuff too like TV/Sport updates... etc. Just for fun, after reading this thread, I went to turn Weather back on. It has been an hour.. nothing shows up on Notification so far.

I know you said you uninstalled the app, then re-installed... One last chance in this order:
1) Clear cache
2) clear app data
3) uninstall app
4) update app in play store.
5) re-start phone, (press and hold power until the phone restarts)
6) setup your google app and start using it again (all user preferences are kept in the server, so no need to go through all the customize stuff again).
7) cross your fingers and wait for the weather notification
