Assistance requested.
I unplugged my phone less than two hours ago. My battery is at 65% after having been restarted and then charged to 100%.
According to the phone, Google+ is responsible for over 50+ of the battery drain.
I haven't used Google+ all day. I haven't taken any photos for it to auto upload.
Any idea how I can stop this?

It is just a huge battery hog. It's better not to use it at all. I had the same problem. Deleted it and never looked back. Try that.

See if Google account Sync is stuck with an error message. This happened after Kitkat for me. Also, though t's not Google+ disable any Sync options you don't want in Accounts - Google - touch name. Tick boxes will be there if master Sync is on.
Like @Blackmagicwoman I have completely disabled Google + in Apps Info, but I can understand it can be useful. You just don't have to let it sync or back-up everything like photos/Picasa, books etc.
It may be something entirely different.

ON EDIT: I'm not on Verizon so it may display differently.

Omg my battery is now amazing. Thanks guys! I unchecked the sync options for Google+ and the photos. Worked like a charm.

I use it on a daily basis and have great battery life. Not saying G+ is for you or anyone, but it works for most without that crazy battery drain.
