Got a dead pixel on my S7E

I bought my S7E a year ago on July 4, and found a dead pixel a couple of weeks ago. Is this common for you guys or just my bad luck?

I wouldn't say it's common but it can happen to any screen including smartphones, monitors.

This. Unfortunately some displays do fail in this way.

My work laptop has developed dead pixels and at some point I'll have to give it to IT to sort it out.

How long is your warranty? Maybe your network can sort it out.

I got 1 year warranty through Rogers... I talked with them two days before the warranty expires and they said the device has to reach Samsung before the warranty period is over and the shipping takes at least two days plus it happens to be around major national holidays, so they thought I have missed the window.
