Got a goofy question...

Hey all! Since my wife's upgrade date & new phone have arrived, I am a lucky inheritor of a Galaxy Epic 4g! A different change from the clunky powerless LG's I've had the past 6-7 yrs lol. (By stupid choice) I'm REALLY digging my "hand me down!" What I'm really waiting on is MY upgrade date and a Galaxy Nexus w/ICS! So I'm catching up on the technology.
Anyhow, this happened to my last LG too, but I've forgotten how to fix it. I know I've got a crappy SDcard right now, but I have PLENTY of room, and around 30 apps. But now everytime I dl another app, I get this message: "No more room on this home screen. Shortcut "-------" created." How do I make that stop? Its irritating & I've forgotten what I did on my old phone. I vaguely remember it's having to do something with the dalvic cache. Can someone help me before I go out of my mind? Lol!

That's an issue with the google play store where it adds your shortcuts to the home screen. You should check the settings in the play store app and there should be an option there to stop doing that.

Jmru- Thanx so much for the suggestion, I'll give that a try. I assume that its not hurting anything, that its just irritating... REALLY irritating lol. Thanx AGAIN!

What sie sdcard do u have? And r u sure the apps r bein moved over to the sdcard?

At the moment I have an 8 gig/class 4 card about half way full, but Ive already ordered a 32 gig/class 10 from Amazon which I should either be getting today or tomorrow. (Fingers crossed lol). So im sure that will definitely help matters quite a bit!! Thanks again for the advice!

I have an Sandisk class 4 32gb. If it's saying "no more room on the homescreen", having a larger card won't help any. As mentioned above, it's a setting (although only one I've seen on ICS), and it's phrased like "auto add widget" or something like that. So not very intuitive.

Before you wipe out that old SD card, make sure you can pack that new one full and read all of it, or make sure if something happens you can send it back to the seller. Especially true if the price was almost too good to be true.

Oh yeah, I know that. Im getting a SanDisk as well! It was kinda pricey, not for amazon though So I got a pretty good deal even with shipping. I know not to go for those too good to be true prices. I dont trust brands Ive never heard of or never seen before. Specially those REALLY cheap ones from China that says they're class 10 but in the picture of their card, they have NO class number on them. Thanks for the heads up though! You're a pal!!
