I called Motorola because my DT2 was not accepted as a valid design refresh unit by their web page and the lady was more than happy to overnight me a new Moto Z Force Droid Verizon edition the next day.

The new phone is great as is its battery life though I've only had it a couple of days and it is a fresh 7.1.1 install.

I'm a little bummed that the DT2 hsd wireless charging and the Z Force Droid is not but heck, it's a new phone. The display is heads and shoulders better to my old eye's than the DT2.

Folks still within the 2 year window who bought the Verizon 64g model might want to give Motorola a call....so far I'm happy I did.

Congrats on the new phone. 👍. I know it costs some $$ but the new Moto Style Shell with wireless charging is nice, looks good on the phone and works good if you want to charge wirelessly.

Hmmm... Interesting. I have until November for mine, so I perhaps should take a look at Z Force. I mos def use wireless charging.

Except for the lack of included wireless charging I think it's more phone than my DT2. Battery is already proving better than my DT2 when it was new.

I'm working on this now, but getting the "your not eligible" runaround. Thing is I am, hopefully they get this sorted.

Just call the phone number on the web page where it reports your phone as ineligible. Talking with the rep was painless and a couple of hours after they received my DT2 they sent me an email stating that they would remove the credit card hold they had applied when they shipped it out (though no pre-auth ever appeared on my card)
