Got it!! (Sprint One)

Ok I'm getting a bit irritated today. Its 2 days till launch when I can buy the phone at a store and I don't have any shipping info yet? How will we get them in 2 days when they aren't even shipped? I was promised we would get them early by pre ordering

Calm down man, it'll be ok. Half the time, when I've had Sprint ship my devices, I would receive the tracking information a few hours before or a few hours after the device was delivered.

Also, this may be karma for you starting the EVO update thread, and getting our hopes up waaaay to soon, last year.

Karma that I post a official document on a update that was scheduled for release on sprint that was delayed? Guess I won't post any more information then.
My point is that its 2 days before launch. I would not of pre ordered if I knew I could just buy it Friday. There its no way that all customers will receive their device in two days if they haven't shipped today.
What good does it do to get a shipping number after its delivered? I can't just have my phone on my door step because I have neighbors at my condo that could pick it up

Who promised you that you would get it early? It certainly wasn't Sprint.

UPS processes and usually ships devices overnight for Sprint. UPS is actually the one that handles the inventory, processing, activation, and shipping of the orders not Sprint itself. They have outsourced that completely to UPS . Since UPS handles the processing and the shipping they are able to tightly control inventory and insure that orders get delivered on time. Here's a video

Anyone have the number for that facility? They're probably the only people that really know when it's shipping. lol! Thats a great video.

LOL... people have long term memory here!! But seriously, Topgonzo, if this is karma and it delays MY phone past Friday, I'm coming after you.

Last night, I was driving to a meeting & passed an AT&T store & I had to stop to check out the phone. It felt a little weird going into enemy territory & I made sure my Sprint Evo 3D was well hidden, but it was nice to actually finally see & hold the phone for myself. Wow, was it nice!! Looks great, feels great, runs great. It's really a work of art. That being said, though, as I left the store after satisfying my craving the thought that struck me was that, in the end, this is really just a phone. As cool as it is (and it really does seem to be worthy of the pro & user ravings we've been obsessing over as we anticipate getting one ourselves), it is just a phone.

But... I still jump every time my phone alerts me to a new email in the hopes that it is my shipping announcement.. and then sigh when it is not... and now in addition to everything else I have to wonder if this is all Topgonzo's fault...

Lol...ok so I actually did just smile. Thanks.

Been a lurker here for a while, then signed up and joined and lurked and read a lot more but i guess I will decide to make a post in case it helps anybody with my experience...I was at my local ATT store yesterday and they had the ONE on display, so naturally I checked it out for about 5-8 minutes. First, the build quality is VERY nice, the metal and dual speakers and beveled like edges and etc. The speaker quality was very nice, no speaker/sound break up when I had the sound maxed out on several Youtube videos ( a few songs/videos and a movie trailer). The volume on max was not very loud IMO but the quality was niiiceeee. Compared to my S3 the quality of the sound did sound a lot crisper and of higher quality. I never used sense on any phone so I am not sure how I would like it or the navigational buttons but the phone did not lag one bit. I used touchwiz and I do have my S3 rooted and I have stock android on it and I do like that the best out of all the skins I have ever tried. The phone did not lag one bit when paging through screens and etc but my S3 was not any more/less laggy than the ONE, in fact my S3 is very fast and I felt neither was faster than the other. The camera I wasn't sure because of the "4" gigapixel or whatever it is called, it did take nice photos and I honestly did not think they were of any better quality than my S3, but maybe I would need to do more experimenting and comparing. It did snap pictures very fast and one after the other with what seemed absolutely no lag or hesitation and I do like that on any phone. Again the build quality is beautiful but I am not sure how I would feel about a non removable battery and not being able to use an sd card. I checked the screen if the brightness was all the way up and it was and it did look nice but it honestly wasn't jump off my seat nicer than my S3 IMO. ( I am constantly torn between going with an LCD or an amoled screen I do like them both for their each added benefits). Overall it was beautiful and I would love one with Nova launcher on it, but it did not make me want it enough to drop any money for it or anymore than my current rooted S3 and more than wanting to see what the next (if any) nexus phone will offer or even the X phone.

Sprint usually sends it out tonight late night and most will get it tomorrow. Thats how its happened in times past when the phone is not delayed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of you guys!!!! Hopefully tonight will be your night. Please remember I said this is how its gone in the past and I did not in anyway guarantee it will go this way. Sometimes people read what they wanna read lol

i think u said it pretty well.... If ur already rockin' a late 2012 high end phone (SGS III, EVO 4G LTE, Droid DNA), the HTC One is awesome if u win it in a poker game, but to shell out 199.00 plus an add'l early upgrade fee of 200 to 300 bucks, initially you might be really wow'ed, but once honeymoon fades, i personally don't think its worth it.....

great 1st (or second post : )

Did this ship with the red tipped earbuds like the international/EMEA version? Can you do an unboxing?
