Installed Lollipop update (Verizon) . I didn't realize there was 2 updates. I thought I screwed up when it said there was an update the second time. All went well. At first I couldn't get apps to run from SD card. Did a soft reset and all is fine now.
I did activate the Video Calling but I can't figure out how to make a video call. When I open phone and go to keyboard it shows a video camera but it's grayed (greened) out. I could use some help. I don't know what I'm missing to get it functioning.
Thanks

Yes I can't understand this feature...i know i went into my verizon to have it activated, tried calling my bro on his iphone 6 and it wouldn't work

Iphone 6 supports this function FYI

Same here. If you open contacts and choose the group "video calling" it only has my name in it. I have plenty of friends with iPhone 6 on Verizon. Nothing.

Hi ....

After activating the feature on your Verizon accounts page, you must reboot your phone. Then the feature will work.

When you are calling someone who also has the feature, you will see a little HD near the contact information of the person you are calling when you are calling that person. Also, if that person has the Advanced Calling, the video box will not be grayed out.

Just don't forget to restart your phone after you have activated the feature from the Verizon accounts page.

is the 4G LTE grayed out for you all when connected to a wifi ? mine isn't..i can't get it to..

HD Voice is also a hardware thing. I am not sure if the Note 4 supports it. I know the Nexus 5 doesn't support it but the Nexus 6 does. It might be the same the Note 4, you might have to wait for the Note 5 to be able to use it.

supposedly, iphone 6 plus doesn't support video calling...they support advanced calling but according to verizon's website, it doesn't include video calling!

so i guess it's only android phones for now!

From verizon:

If you activated Advanced Calling 1.0, including Video Calling, you can easily determine which of your contacts are Video Calling-enabled. In your Contacts app, you'll find a group called "Video Calling." All the contacts listed in that group are capable of Video Calling.

You can also tell if a particular contact can receive a video call by opening up that person's contact card. If there is a Camera icon beside the Phone icon, you can video call with that contact.

From verizon about iphone 6:

The benefits of Advanced Calling 1.0 for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus include:

HD Voice
Simultaneous voice and 4G LTE data
6-way audio conference calls

as you can see...nothing about video calling here!

You are correct. I thought Advanced calling was the same across the board. I am guessing Apple had something to do with no video, as it would have been a competitor to Face Time.

Yeah..Fricking Apple!
as if it is the boss in this industry..they can kiss my a**!

Also Droid Maxx and Droid Turbo, LG G2 and G3, Nexus 6, Galaxy Core Prime and a couple of phones on pre order.

I actually have 12 people I know of who can use HD calling with me.
