Got mine from Best Buy!

I pre-ordered at the Best Buy in Columbia, MD near where I work. I received an email this afternoon about 2:00 p.m. (similar to the email I received shortly after pre-ordering) notifying me my EVO was ready to be picked up! It also said I had to pick up by Saturday 5/26 or my pre-order will be canceled.

Unfortunately I had an appointment after work today and could not pick up the phone so I'm planning to leave work early tomorrow. I can't wait! This is my 3rd pre-order from Best Buy (OG EVO, the 3D and now the LTE) and it has been flawless each time.

Congratulations to all of you that have your phone, what a great way to kick-off the holiday weekend!

I have 2 phones pre-ordered at my local Best Buy in Florida, They told me they don't receive the shipment today, hopefully tomorrow. However, I also reserve 2 phones at my local sprint store, same answer.
What I find Unacceptable, is that Best Buy employees are more informed than sprint ones. and also I am reading a lot of comments from people getting the "in store pre-orders" today from Best Buy and none from Sprint store!!!

So I preordered and traded in my Evo 4G in great condition, yet the store would only give me $100 in gift cards. I tried explaining that trading in my Evo should have netted $100 because of the HTC promotion but they were saying the HTC promotion was the same as the $50 preorder gift card. This is incorrect, right? I'm going to investigate but I feel like I should have another $50 coming my way.

Other than that, I LOVE this phone. Haven't even scratched the surface yet but it is beautiful!

I picked mine up today from my BB in Glen Burnie MD around 5. They tried getting my Airwave line to use for the upgrade but it was no dice. Instead they price matched it for $499 and still got the $50 gift card which he let me use for the purchase. It's charging right now then I'll set it up. Like others have said, the screen is absolutely gorgeous! I loved my Epic Touch 4G, but for the little while I used it at the store, I won't miss it!

Got mine from Best Buy as well. Took almost an hour as they had to get it released from corporate before they could sell it. Then the computer had issues not really believing it was available and didn't credit my $50 gc so they had to do a price match to get me the discount after the fact.

Interesting was the manager said they were only allotted the number(3) of pre-orders and even if those customers canceled they could not sell them to anyone else. They still do not have a launch date.

I got the same BS from Best Buy, they had 3 extra EVO's on top of the pre-orders and they made me pre-order the phone, saying they couldnt sell it because the release date had not been announced yet?????

Best Buy are you STUPID??? The release day came and went without a phone, now it's here, what do you mean you cant sell the stock you have? Accoring to them I have to wait for the next shipment to arrive. WTF are they going to do with those extra 3 EVO's??? I swear dealing with Best Buy is so frustrating.

I went thru hell getting my EVO today. I called first thing this morning and talked to cell phone rep that indicated that their truck come in at night. No more than 2hrs later I get a email saying that my phone was there and was needed to be picked up no later than 5/27. so i hope on the phone and call and rep says "yes your phone is here< but we cant release because we dont have an official release date" I was like did you'll get the memo about releasing the preorders. They said yes but our manager said not to release them. SOOOO i spoke to the manager that insisted her orders were firm and from higher power. So i said ok. I called the Best Buy corporate and advised them what was going on and they indicated that the phones should be sold to individuals that had preorders only. Rep called store and manager still refused to give up my evo. Rep advised me it was escalated to higher authority and to wait for a call. Well i was accepting that. I went to the store (25min drive). And i started asking questions. Manager came out and based on my comments figured out it was me. She was very nice and kept her cool about it all...but still stood firm on not releasing the evo until she got some magical release date for the eVo Fairy. So i get back on the line with corporate to check the status of my case. No more than 10min in the call she comes up and says that corporate contacted her and told her she could sell the phone.

I mean jeeeeeshhh..So they started calling in all the preorder people. 30min later there were a line of people there to pick up their evos.....

Man I'm tired.

Never got any Email with a new release date (after the first THREE). Never got any Email or text saying mine is ready. I called Best Buy when I got home from work. They said they had some phones but my preorder # was not available and couldn't explain any more. All the other posts on this thread seem to say the stores got a single shipment with enough to cover all the preorders for their store. Just not my store?

I am off tomorrow, so I am going to visit after lunch, in person, where they can't so easily dismiss me (and perhaps another day has gone by where they could have gotten more). This has been the worst phone obtaining experience ever. Last year when I went through Best Buy for the Evo 3D preorder, it was wonderful- nice people, efficient, kept informed, on time; this has been the complete opposite so far.

BB system wouldn't activate any preorders so they called corporate and cancelled everyones preorder on the system for that store (looked to be about 15 of them)

They then did the upgrade sale and took the $50 off the price of the phone. Traded in my ET4G, got a $50 bonus for the upgrade and 2 year activation and I needed up paying something like $12

Then they threw in a Zagg HD clear screen protector for NADA for my patience over two hours. I hated the original Zagg protector but I will try this one out.

I'm about ready to switch to AT&T my local Sprint store has no phones nor any idea when they're getting any and they referred me to customer service who is being completely rude to me. The amount of s given at sprint is low.

Yeah Sprint is being overly cautious as to what they tell customers regarding when the phone will arrive, they are trying not to make promises that wont be fulfilled due to the Customs issues. Apparently only some EVO's have been released by customs, not all.

Best Buy just plain sucks, they dropped the ball on every level.

Got my Evo LTE a couple of hours ago from Best Buy Mobile in Minnesota. With all the promotions I got ($150 in gift cards and $50 off) the phone was basically free. The Phone Freedom promo is something you have to do on your own though. So it was technically a $50 phone today. They were offering 1/2 off Buybacks with Black Tie protection so I decided to switch from Sprint's and pay the $40 for the two combined.

Got the Zagg HD and Pt case in white. They bundle the two together so I got them both for $16 off retail. BB also has an offer for 20% any accessory when you upgrade a phone. I was first on the preorder list and the first "appointment" at 5pm. I didn't leave with my new Evo LTE until 7pm. Granted, I went expecting that since this whole thing is a messed up situation and all the employees had to play with it before I could use it...just glad I got all these promo's and discounts though!
