Walked outside in the rain today with the phone in my pocket. Thought my pockets didn't get too wet, but when i got home my phone just kept restarting over and over again. Is there anything i can do? This makes me sad! What the hell do i do on the toilet without angry birds?

Best bet you got moisture in the device and causing shorts.

Take the back cover off and take out battery, sim, and sd card, get a zip lock bag, fill it half way with dry rice and place the device in the bag and zip it up. Let it sit for full days worth and this will absorb any moisture that is inside the phone.

Hope that might help.

If your phone has gotten really wet and moisture is inside the phone, I recommend pulling the battery and placing the phone is uncooked dry rice for a couple of hours. This will help pull the moisture out of the phone.

I'm not saying to try this, but when I dumped my phone in my pool, many years ago, while on AT&T. I was told the quickest fix is to soak it in rubbing alcohol, let it penetrate and then let iit dry, the sooner it's done, the better. I guess the alcohol pulls out all the water from the internals as it evaporates.. I'm not sure what to make of this, though. On one hand,.it seems like a rationale idea but it also seems like ii could be a bad idea, on the other hand. Anyone ever tried it?

Thanks for your replies guys. Turns out it was just a freak coincidence mixed with bad timing. I thought since it rained and my phone was all wet, the wetness was responsible for my phone acting up. Turns out, it was bootlooping cause the radio must've gotten reset somehow. Took off the battery cover, let it load and changed a couple settings around and now i'm back to ignoring my girlfriend. Whew! That scared the crap out of me

It's funny, cause you thought you were way off base and it turned out, you were right all along! Thanks for the help man. Your link is the sole reason my phone is back to normal. Sent a KFC gift card to your house for the trouble

Hold it. Take out out a blow dryer, position it under phone, now turn on and blast it dry.

I had the same problems two mornings ago, I had to reset the device to get it running again.

Maybe on a cool setting, blasting heat on the internals w/ the rear door taken off. Could end up doing more damage than good if your not careful.
