Got rid of my Evo...

Did you even look at the video for the Nexus or Incredible? Both running smoothly.. Also the new OTA has leaked to some people on the EVO. Averaging 53fps and getting Quadrant scores as high as the Nexus 2.2.

Numbers? You mean the ones where the Nexus and Incredible only scored 3-4fps lower then the Galaxy and only about 2-3fps lower then the Droid X. Huge difference let me tell ya.. LOL

Look:

It wasn't Epic vs. Evo, it was just Evo, Nexus, Droid X.

The GPU on the Galaxy S is more powerful than the Droid X.

As you can see on the link below, the Droid X is the only one that does not lag at all. The Evo is horrible and the Nexus one lags when turning into the stairs.

Also, look at the regular benchmark of Evo vs. Droid X. Qualcomm's processor is the lowest. I bet when Droid X gets 2.2, it MIGHT be higher on that. Snapdragon can crunch numbers very well, but it cannot crunch graphics.

There is proof. Both the Qualcomm phones lag. Droid X does not. Epic is more powerful than Droid X.

Keep in mind this is not a full game. Just a benchmark test.... yet it still lags.

Good! If you have Assasin's Creed, NOVA (in the last few levels), and Sandstorm let me know how they perform.

On NOVA, literally the ENTIRE last level was unplayable. I moved in sections. Very very very very laggy.

It was unplayable because the Evo previously had the FPS cap.

AC just posted benchmark tests. Did not see a difference in 3D benchmark. The Quadrant 3D still lagged.

I want to know about games. See if they lag or not. Or I could just find out on my own tomorrow.

I only really have Dungeon Hunter on my EVO, but it plays SO much smoother after update. I got sick of the choppiness before with the 30fps cap, but it's actually fun now. Will prolly get NOVA this weekend.

I'm really, really glad that changed a bit. I still need to do some testing to see if the games play well. NOVA had sections in it that were just choppy for long periods at a time. Annoying.

I personally think since you do not own a EVO and own a Epic. Please go to those forums and talk highly about your phone.

I just got back from the Sprint store. My wife wants a new phone. We asked what he thought was better, Epic or EVO. He said EVO without question. He said he can't keep EVO's in stock yet he has over 15 Epics sitting on the shelf. Even though Epic is newer it isn't selling as well as the EVO.

Unless you are a gamer the EVO is probably a better device.
