Got some question about Pixel 3XL

Ok, got my new pixel, am setting it up and I can't figure out some things! I don't have the regular buttons on the bottom, where the back button is! How do I fix this!? It appears I have a software update which hasn't applied yet. But I hate this swipe gesture!

You can change it in Settings. It's new in 10. I think if you search for navigation that will point you in the right direction.

To go back, you swipe on the side around 1/4 of the way up the screen. Little arrows appear.

The specs on the phone say Pixel 3 XL? And when I swipe on the sides, I only move around in the frame I am on.

Well it looks like you have an update available. Maybe you'll get the option one you update. Here's what mine looks like.

You have the 2-button nav system from Pie. The Back button is the leftward facing arrow to the left of the pill.

Make sure you do the system update to Android 10. That brings back the 3-button nav option (although you might want to play around with the full gesture navigation -- it takes a short while to get used to, but it actually works quite well).
