Got the SuperSu app after Root for S5, now what?

Today I successfully root my first Android device.
After Root, I got an app name-SuperSu.
I opened the app and got three tabs. (Apps, logs, Settings)


Now please tell me, How to use it properly?

Note: In iPhone, it's very easy to use Cydia app.

You don't really do anything now. You simply use your apps.. If it needs root access the supersu will be called on for you to grant or deny superuser access.

Cydia is a jailbreak app store. Android is different... The apps that require root are right in the normal play store. Developers usually will tell you in the description if the app needs root to work.

Did you have a reason for rooting or did you just do it to do it?

Actually, there was no important reason for Rooting my device. I just wanted to gain experience in Android for the first time..

Thanks for your reply. Now I understood, what is SuperSu's duty.

I thought after rooting, I can install custom rom. But it seems to be there's no Rom available for 900H until now.

Can you give me any info?

Ah okay .

If there are currently no ROMs you'll just have to wait. Once someone makes one you can follow their guide to install it. The best advice I can give with rooting and ROMs is follow every step.. Exactly how they write it. Even if you think it's a dumb step just follow it and you should be okay . Also always ensure the ROM you're flashing is for your phone and not an international one or anything.

I'm having a serious issue now. I just rooted my device for the first time, and even though my device is working- SuperSU will not launch, nor will it stay open when I boot the device.

"Unfortunately, SuperSU has stopped."

I'm not sure how I can un-do the root, or how I can update SuperSU / get rid of Knox to enable SuperSU compatibility, so I am in need of some serious assistance here.

In the android/Google Play store, I can't update SuperSU- I can only disable/enable it, and I can't remove it directly either. So I'm at a loss here.. please, any assistance would be greatly appreciate!! :/

you may have to do a phone reset backup everything on google so u save your contacts and Picasa will backup your pics android store already stores all apps you have downloaded u have to re install them though

just search for latest Supersu on google chrome from your phone, download and install when it ask to replace current version..
Open Supersu App from drawer once its installed, you will be good to go.

Check your root status in an app called root checker if i remember. It is available on the play store.

You need to go to the app store and download SuperSU free. After you download, restart your phone. open supersu and go through the prompts. It should work fine after.
