Got throttled now mms not working

So I passed my 2gb limit and now it looks like doesn't work. I rebooted phone and no dice. Speed tests shows 0.6Mbps. Anybody else had this problem when throttled? I'm on Tmobile.

When you're throttled on T-Mobile, your speed drops to Edge (2G) so 0.6 Mbps sounds about right. MMS uses data, so if you're trying to send a photo it's going to take a long time or even fail depending on your signal. Try sending a text-only MMS and see if that works.

Yea that's what I thought. But I tried at home and was still having issues. Anyway to use WiFi data for mms? If I send a small pic it goes through fine.

Yup, this. Kinda stupid design. I use WiFi exclusively, and I turn my data on at all times just to send MMS.

That's weird that they throttle you for going over your limit. Anything over and they get to charge the crap out of you for it so I figure they'd leave you running at full speed.

I know it's the way it is, but does anyone know why MMS can only be sent with the data connection. Knowing nothing technical about it seems like there should/could be a VoIP type solution.

2GB unthrottled from T-Mobile is harsh. That's one of the reasons I went with Solavei - my "unlimited" plan gets 4GB.
