hows the video playback on this using codecs like flac, hi10, 1080p resolution, and such on vlc. vlc software could support it but can the hardware make it sound great and play smoothly.

Also seem like Sprint finally announce it too... but no word on price yet

That means nothing. Samsung destroys LG in sales. As I said before, my friends at Verizon won't buy an LG and the LG G2 I used to have has had more quality problems than the Samsung phones me or my family have owned. Not to mention the bootloop issues from LG.

It all has to deal with marketing, just like the iphone. I have the note7 now but will be switching to the V20. Will give sammy another shot in the future , sammy lost me after this note7 blowing up.

I wonder how the note7 issue will hurt samsung sales. and how much that could help out LG in sales.

There's no question that the Note 7 issue will give LG some sales, however iPhone and Pixel also stand to gain.

True... But they won't know Pixel name nor will they be impressed by HTC. If I were a casual buyer willing to buy a huge phone with a 5.5 inch screen why not an iPhone 7 plus? Is it just me or does the Pixel even look like an iPhone?

The one thing that tempts me about Pixel is it should be really fast but not iPhone fast.

I should be honest though. The only thing that draws me to LG V20 is ir blaster. I couldn't care less about the high quality DAC that adds a hundred bucks to the price. I admit I am far from typical. Most folks don't even know if a phone has an ir blaster. I do like a headphone jack and I am hoping V20 has HDMI capability.

Of course a super cool ad could sell almost anything... Except a G5.

You could put a couple decent size speakers on both top and bottom bezels of either pixel. Could have been a beast of a media phone. Instead they have a bunch of empty, unused space. It would be a better looking phone to if that space was used. Can't have on screen home/multitasking/back buttons and a big bezel. either on screen with small, or even better, no bezel, or, off screen buttons, physical or not, with a bigger bezel.
