I just got two batteries from ebay-dated 4/12/17 & 9/19/17. The battery that came with my phone was dated February 2018. Should I keep these eBay batteries what do you think sitting around for a year is not the best thing?

One more question, how do you get capture to store to the SD card?

How do you really know where anything comes from, even Amazon products. I got my v20 from eBay and so far I'm pretty happy with it.

The question is, what is the useful life of a battery that is dated April 2017 or September 2017. like I said the battery I got with my phone was dated February 2018.

My batteries are older than both of them. As long as they are authentic, don't see any problem keeping them. I evenly cycle through all 5 of my batteries so they are all used evenly, therefore increasing my battery longevity by 5x. If you plan to store them, charge them to 50% and then leave it stored, possibly in a cool and dry place.

I stopped buying anything on eBay years ago. All knock off junk from China.

Not entirely true. Some are authentic, some fake. There's a lot of liquidators selling real products, you just need to pay attention to the seller and their feedback. eBay actually has a buyer guarantee.. if it's fake, you can send it back and get your money back. eBay almost always sides with the buyer if they see that it wasn't their fault.

I believe Amazon probably has the best return policy, especially if it's sold by Amazon.. they'll take anything back. If you buy stuff in the retail store, they usually charge you a restocking fee or refuse to accept the return after it's been opened.

It's still useful. The question is, how often has the battery itself been used already.. because batteries have a limited lifecycle. Batteries can last many many years, depending how much you use it and how hot it gets. A hot battery will degrade faster overtime, that's why I don't recommend wireless charging due to the excessive heat. I use an external charger for my V20 batteries (the authentic LG charging cradle) with a USB laptop cooling pad on the bottom blowing the battery to keep it cool while charging to increase longevity. BTW I have an LG Optimus Fuel from 2015 that I've been using everyday for music.. I don't see any drop in battery performance at all.

thanks everyone. Samsung batteries I bought from Amazon were dreadful. these seem to be authentic and unused and so far the April 17 battery only lost 3% in the last hour and a half of my answering emails etc.

Do they still have more at your ebay distributor? The ones I got from ebay were crap. Who did u get yours from?

I think it was a new vendor called Shipey. the batteries are pretty good. $17 something for 2. I ordered then April 18, was supposed to be here by April 23rd but it got here like May 1st. I don't think it was their fault I think the post office screwed up and they are really screwing up lately.

I like 10,000 mAh ZeroLemon batteries.

A perfect match for V20.

Yes, Li-ion declines over time but especially due to the number of cycles on it.
