GPS - Assist?

Randomly this morning I notice my GPS keeps coming on for no reason.

Trying to think what it as the only new thing I turned on was assist after the update.

Does that frequently use GPS?

While I typed this up it came on again. In think I remember there being a way to see what it is but I don't remember.

This isn't just a Moto X issue. It happens on my Galaxy S3 too. If you turn GPS off and then back on, that should resolve the issue.

I just noticed this happening more today too. I look at what apps are using GPS using gsam. Besides ingress the other 2 apps that have used GPS Google Services and Modality Service
