GPS broken?

So I am not sure when but I think my GPS hardware has quit working and I am not sure why. It could be a software or a hardware problem. I was hoping someone out there could help me figure it out. Hoping for a flashable .zip maybe with driver software or some kinda of software fix first before assuming its a lost cause. thank for any help.

and yes i do use an LG Optimus V that has been rooted for awhile that I have had many ROMs flashed to it. I run Thunderc recovery.

Happened to me before, I flashed a few roms and it was still out. In the end I had to FORMAT everythin except sd card before flashin a new rom, and my gps started workin again. Since then I always format and wipe before I flash.

I always have done full wipe between ROMs but "format" no my thunderc recovery doesnt have format. I dont know how to do it with adb shell.

Please elaborate on the problem.

Pretend you're calling tech support.

If you called tech support and said "hi it doesn't work" and then hung up the phone, would you expect them to magically fix the problem?

I hope not. In other words, tell us:

What did you expect to happen? What happened instead? Did anything happen that seemed to lead up to the problem? What have you done to try to fix the problem?
