GPS compass icon is always on

does anyone know if I can track my 2011 Cadillac onstar gps with my android htc

If you already have Onstar service there is an app in the market that let's you do all sorts of stuff. I haven't tried it as I don't subscribe to Onstar, but it seems ok.

In HTC sense phones the cross hair icon means the GPS is turned on, now if an app needs the GPS you will see the little SAT icon while the GPS is actually being used. But the cross hair icon is simply telling the user the GPS is turned on, but not necessarily being used..
