GPS is beyond screwed up

The gps on Samsung phones compared with others, is really bad.
Interesting. I switched to an iPhone X, and then XS Max for just over a year from Samsung. The iPhone navigation was always off. When I used it for walking directions with Apple Maps, it showed me about half a block off, typically as though I'm walking right through the building next to me. I haven't had this problem with any previous Samsung devices since the S6, and I don't have that or any other problem with my S10+ nav either. I suspect something is wrong with the OPs phone, or maybe the nav is trying to hint strongly that OC is just much nicer than LA (last part is obviously a jk).

For Samsungs, if the GPS acts up, you can try this:

Open the Phone, as if you were going to make a phone call and dial -
*#9090# -- Diagnostic Configuration (*#197328640# if that doesn't work)
Menu, select Key Input, enter Q
Menu, select Key Input, enter 0000
Wait for the next menu. (It takes a while.)
UMTS->COMMON->NV REBUILD->NV REBUILD->SYSTEM->PROTOCOL->GPS->IMS
or, if you don't have UMTS:
UE SETTINGS & INFO->SETTING->SYSTEM->NV REBUILD->ALL

Restart the phone.

And use GPS Status & Toolbox if you're having GPS problems, so you can see what's happening.
