GPS keeping phone awake

Hi,

Everytime I use GPS (either for google maps or any other app) afterwards even if I turn the GPS off my phone battery is drained at an insane rate.
After checking the battery stats I can see that GPS is always on and being used and that the phone is always awake...

The only way I found of stopping this is to restart the phone. So everytime I need GPS for any reason I need to do a restart...

Does anyone has the same issue? And a possible solution?

Btw, I'm using a Nexus 4 and this happens since 5.0, I'm currently with 5.0.1
