GPS lock on issues

I've had the N5 for maybe a week or more, but when I try to use Maps or Waze, it would pinpoint my location, but the minute I start driving, it won't follow me. If I put the phone to sleep and then wake it, it would refresh the directions, but the GPS signal won't lock on to me. Anyone having this issue? I'm on Sprint and rooted, but it's stock rom and kernel. Thanks in advance.

I'm on sprint. Mine is 16gb as well. Did you check all your location settings and make sure they are set to high accuracy?

Yea, I keep it on battery use when I don't need navi, but switch it to High Accuracy when I need to use navi.

Gps signal started to lock on last night. Did a few tests and it all seems well. Mods if you could close this please, thank you.

my Nexus 5 on AT&T GoPhone is much better than my Sprint G-Nex. GPS lock would take forever on the G-Nex.

I had the same thing the first time I used my Nexus 5 for nav (on T-Mo), but the second time I used it, it worked fine.

Right now, the compass seems to be flaky (in Google Sky Maps and SmartTools), but Maps seems to work as expected.

Don't get me started on the g-nex, that thing couldn't find a satellite in a NASA lab. But anyway, after 2 weeks mine is still working good.

I encountered the same issue today. I'm on T-Mobile as well.
The first time I tried to to navigate, the GPS took forever to lock-in, once it did it never brought up directions. Eventually, it gave me a network failure error. After that, I re-started the Maps App and has been working flawlessly since then.
