GPS Not finding location upon Navigation

I'm having trouble with my Navigation GPS. When I pull up Google Maps and click the "my location" button, it finds me on the maps just fine. When I use snapchat, the geotags load up correctly on location. The only time that it does not work is when I'm selecting a destination from Google Maps and go into Navigation mode. I get the "Searching for GPS..." which you can see in this image. This has only been happening recently. I've rooted my device months ago and it's worked fine until this last weekend when I was on a trip.

I have tried downloading GPS Status & Toolbox and erasing my A-GPS cache and it hasn't worked. That app as well tries to search for gps continuously.

specs:
Model: Galaxy s5 (sm-g900t)
Provider: Tmobile
Rooted: Cyanogenmod 13.

Hello and welcome to Android Central loc1281!

I am afraid that the CyanogenMod, CM13, ROM has had a history of GPS issues since its release. Early Nightly builds were very poor on GPS but this has improved with each Nightly. Also, the accuracy and compatibility has varied with different models of Galaxy S5. I am on the international model, G900F, and have tested destination by selecting it and it works fine for me. Like you, I also use GPS and Toolbox. I can only recommend...

1. Install the latest Nightly for your model to see if the issue has been fixed. Since I guess you are probably using the same KLTE build as me, this may help although different models throw up different issues.

2. Do a cache partition wipe of your phone to clear out any detritus from previous flashes.

3. Do a completely fresh install of CM13's latest build after first flashing the latest stock T-Mobile (USA) Marshmallow firmware as a base.

You can post your issue here, on the xda developers thread... [ROM] CyanogenMod 13.0 | Android 6.0.1 Marsh… | Samsung Galaxy S 5

Also, there is the rooted section of Android Central... Samsung Galaxy S5 Rooting, ROMs & Hacks if you have any further queries.

Would this occur right away on install though? Because it's been working since February just fine and then only in the last 3 days it has broken. I'm on 13.0-20160509-nightly-kte. almost a month old. I'll try the newest mod tonight and see if that helps.

Just go to... Settings > About phone > CyanogenMod updates > Check for updates and you will be offered the latest build, (CM-13.0-20160607-NIGHTLY), which is about 30 releases newer than the one you are on. The thing with Nightly, beta, builds is that they try new bugfixes, enhancements and compatibility with apps and therefore, you need to keep abreast until they release either a Snapshot release or a Stable release. For instance, Google started pushing out an updated version of Maps about 10 days ago and a later release of CM13 may be better suited to it.

I will give that a try tonight (I have to do manual install since flash install hasn't been working) Thanks!

Odd. Auto install has been working fine all along for me. Maybe it's time to do option #3 in my earlier post.

It hasn't been working since i initially installed. I'll give number 3 a try then. I'll update once I get the chance to do so tonight. Thanks!
