GPS Not Turning On

Hey guys I have my first problem with my new droid. It seems that my gps isnt turning on. I used it last night and it worked just fine but today it will not find my location. I tried the GPS Test app, it says its on and it shows that it sees 2 sats but is none in use. The GPS is working just fine on my wifes droid.

Oh and nothing has been done to the phone, no rooting or OS updates and no new apps have been installed.

Forgot to add that the little GPS signal icon just keeps flashing. Also I have restarted the phone, pulled the battery and shut the phone off and pulled the battery.

It seems my wifes moms GPS isnt working either. We both have 2.1 but my wife has 2.2 if that has anything to do with it.

It is now working again, I think it was Launcher Pro causing the problem. When I set it back to the stock launcher the GPS was working again. I put it back on LP and its still working.

Keep playing with settings, esp. the ones about locations (there are three separate ones I've found!) and networks...there are two essential ones. I was convinced that my wife's Ally was no good, until my daughter's was doing the same thing. Then figured, there's something else under the hood. Check some other gps threads and I think I laid out the blueprint for where to look and check the boxes.

Are you by chance using any of the later updates of Beautiful Widgets?
Lots of Geo Location (and other) issues lately. In my case I had to resort to a factory reset to get it back.

It is for sure launcher pro that caused the problem. It just did it again so I switched back to the stock home screen and the GPS started working again. Since that's all I have to do to get it working then its no big deal, I like LP too much to stop using it.

jmack, yes I have Beautiful Widgets but that's not whats causing the problem. When it first did it I uninstalled BW and still had the problem. It wasn't until changing the home screen that it started working again.

OK, only reason I asked is because it seems the latest updates to both LP & BW don't play well together... and lots of users (read the Market reviews) are having serious geo-location issues with BW. I bought it and uninstalled it.
I use ADW and have never had a problem.
I really appreciate all the work the dev is putting into LP but I think it's beginning to reach the point where he's trying to cram too much in too fast.
