GPS on all the time

How often should my GPS be going on? I've had my worst battery day ever, down to 48% with VERY minimal use (because I was at work) on 6 hours. Every time I've checked, GPS has been in the notification bar. Bad signal in my area today or is my battery bad?

GPS being on will certainly have an effect on your battery life; as well as a weaker signal than normal. Perhaps post a screenshot of your battery usage over the past 24 hours; so we could have a look?

I can't find a battery usage chart on this phone? Every other phone I've had has had one. I'm on Sprint.

Look under your Settings app and see if you have a "Battery" section. It may even be under Advanced Settings or another sub-category.

I've looked all over, it's not there and it's driving me a little crazy. The batter apps I've tried don't show it either.
