Gps question

I just got the Verizon Galaxy Tab and was curious if anyone else was experiencing a very long time for GPS to lock while using Google maps? I tried in the car and it took a good 10 minutes before it showed my correct location. I don't seem to have this issue on my Evo 3d.

My experience with the wifi tab is that it is much much faster than my Garmin nuvi 200.

my sgt is the same way - i need clear open sky to get a fast lock. once locked though, it should acquire your position faster the next time (unless you've traveled very far from your last lock).

phones acquire a location faster due to aGPS using cell towers for an approximation, gps will work off that to increase accuracy.
