GPS takes forever to locate satelite

So, when I turn GPS on and attempt to navigate or use the GPS location it takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes to find my location.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix it or steps I can take to reduce that time?

Are you running Stock or a custom ROM?

Mine has always locked on within seconds. I know some ROM's have GPS issues.

I am having the same problem - Verizon recently sent me a new (refurbished) handset to correct a problem with a weak signal. My old DINC did not have this problem, but the new one (used for about a week now) is taking a long time to find the GPS.
