GPS transplant?

Is there any way to take the GPS hardware from an old phone and stuff it into the HP Touchpad and have it usable by CM 9/10?

I doubt it would work also you would need the specific drivers for that gps unit, which would be built for the phone you took it from. Even if you got it to fit, you would need to build the drivers from source as a kernel module I think.

If you want GPS capability, you could pair a Bluetooth GPS receiver with the Touchpad. But I don't know anything about an internal one, unless you could somehow utilize the sim card slot, which I don't even know works or not.
