GPS turning on by itself

Just like the title says. I pull down the notification tray and GPS is turned on. I turn it off and later it's back on.

I guess lg didnt fix that from the lg pro. Alot of ppl have the same issue with the pro. Sorry to hear u have the same issue with the g2.

Since removing the stock weather widget it hasn't happened again.

The weather widget wants up to date info the only way it can be accurate is the gps location

Option to manually tell location for weather. Should solve your problem. GPS never turns on by its self for me.

I'm not using the stock weather widget since I can't with Nova Launcher and I've noticed a few times that my wifi was turned on by itwelf.

I too set my weather widget for manual location and haven't had a problem.

Hi, i am using a note 3, and i face the same problem of gps switching on by itself.
I have performed factory resets several times, but to no avail.

anti virus/ spyware scanners could not help me either.
This stops only when i switch off my data plan connection.
I have disabled all widgets etc. removed all programs, but it doesnt help.

Turning location access off, only to find that it turns itself back on.

Appreciate any ideas. Regards

I'm on a Kyocera hydro wave and my location keeps turning on by itself

I solved this issue on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Active upgraded to 7.0 Nougat by disabling WiFi Calling. It has been 4 days, and location services hasn't turned itself on once. My battery life has amost doubled. It used to turn on every hour or so.



I didn't discover this myself. I read it on another forum. The best explaination I've heard is there is a bug in Samsung's WiFi calling system app that turns on location all the time, instead of just when you call 911.

How do you turn manually telling it on?
