GPS vs Tower Triangulation in Maps?

Hey folks,

I'm trying to use Google Maps on my new Incredible. Location is on, and GPS is turned on, but maps will only show me my location "within this radius." It's about a mile down the road, where the local cell tower is. I thought the Incredible had full GPS...why won't Google Maps use it?

Update: It seems as though my Incredible is unable to connect with the GPS satellites. The small satellite icon on the notification bar is there, but the green "signals" are flashing the entire time. Why can't it get a lock?

Well, I may have solved the problem. It seems that the GPS has trouble locking on to me when I'm inside a building. Is that normal?

Perfectly normal, it's the same with all GPS units. Without a clear view of the sky it's almost impossible for them to make contact with your phone. Sometimes I've had it pick up in my house through a window or something but it's rare.
