gps widget not working

When I hit my gps widget to turn it on or off, I get the white HTC screen and then reloading and the gps doesn't go on or off. Restarted phone didn't Phil the battery still no good. Have to go go settings to toggle gps. Anyone else have this problem? No footed have all the latest updates. Thanks for any help. I also removed the widget and put it back up. No good. By the way can't select text either to change Phil above to pull...who knows.
