GPS wonky

The GPS on my z3v is all out of whack starting last week. I got an email from Verizon about the Nov 3rd GPS rollover.
Any thoughts about what I can do for a band-aid to get Google maps working again with GPS while I figure out what phone to upgrade to...

This can only be resolved by Sony. It is the equivalent of the Y2K bug and PCs. As the phone is now 5 years old it I question whether Sony will actually do anything.

I've been having the same issues with my Samsung Note 9. GPS all over and car barely use Google maps or Waze.

I downloaded a program called GPS Status. I launch that app first and wait for it to lock on. Once locked I open the Google maps app/navigation and it works fine. It will be interesting on Nov 3rd what happens.

I ended up swapping out my Note 9 for another one and it works again.

Which app as I see several with the same name in the app store.
