Grab a still from a video after recording?

Hi,

On older Galaxy S-phones, there used to be a way (thru Samsung Video Player) to grab stills from videos after they are recorded. I can't find a way to do this on my S6 - only to grab stills *during* recording. This seems kind of backwards. Anyone know of a way to do this on the S6?

Thanks!

no but a workaround is to play the video on a PC, hit pause, and simply do a "Prt Sc" (Print Screen) on PC. if you have Dropbox set up and the feature enable the Print Screen/Screenshot will be automatically saved in your Dropbox folder. i have done this with Google Movies.

good luck.

You can actually do this "workaround" on the phone. Just pause the video, use the slider to find the point in the video you want to capture and then do a screenshot by pressing the power and home button at the same time. I've done this a few times and got some great images as a result.

Exactly. Also works well when you're trying to catch a moving object. Record in 4K or 720p Slowmotion, Play, Pause, Screenshot.
