I have S10 using Samsung texting app. I am on a long-time group text with some friends. Yesterday, when they replied instead of being in a thread considered "Mass Text", their replies came back on a new thread considered "group chat". I am wondering if I changed settings or if an update changed things. Does anyone know why this happened, what the difference is between group chat and mass text is?
I know that the 3 friends are all using iphones.
Today I sent a text to 2 people and one responded, it showed on the same thread, listed as mass text. Then I just got a new thread, showing that the two of them JOINED and a group chat started. I assume if the other responds it will be on the new thread not the old one. I looked at settings and do not see anything related to this.
Just trying to figure out what is going on and why there are these new threads. Thank you.
