I just switched from the iphone to htc one and group messages will not work ...

the other 3 people have iphones ... I only get replies from 1 of the people ... at one point it was 2 of the people, but now just 1 out of 3 ....

I have group messages enabled ...
I have turned imessage off on my old iphone
I have changed my itunes password

any thoughts or ideas on why I am not receiving all my group texts?

Go to the apple support site and de register the iPhone with iMessage.

Also make sure iMessage is turned off on any other device that you may have registered with.

I'm having the same problem so I'm curious to see if you find a fix.

I bought a Droid Mini about 3 weeks ago (switched from an iphone) and I'm still having texting issues due to imessage. I've done every possible fix I can on my end.
1) I disabled imessage on my phone before I got rid of it.
2) I changed my password on all my itunes/icloud/Apple id accounts.
3) I removed my iphone from my apple id account.
4) I've called Apple support and they have verified my phone number is no longer attached to imessage
5) I've asked the people who text me often to delete all old text threads, delete my old contact info and put a new contact in for me.

This seems to work for a while but as soon as I get on a group message with someone who has not done this switch, the messages revert back to imessage and it seems to reboot my friends' phones back to sending me imessages. And they are not being notified that the messages aren't going through.

I just don't know what to do anymore! I can't seem to get the fix to "stick" and I can't keep asking people to change everything in their phone because I'm having problems with my phone. I refuse to return to an iphone because this whole thing has turned me off Apple for good and all my other devices are Android.

Is there something I'm missing? Is this ever going to fix itself? Will it ever at least notify people that the messages aren't going through? It's so frustrating!

Turn off iMessage and then send some messages as SMS to iMessage users from your iPhone.

I have done that but it appears people's phone still reply with imessage.

For the past 2 weeks I've been able to text with a particular friend only after she deleted all our old texts and started a new one. It seemed to work fine after that. A few days ago, a mutual friend sent a group text which included both of us and I received the first couple of texts in that thread. Then it stopped and I only got texts from one person on the group msg after that. I was obviously missing other ones because the responses made no sense and were answering questions I never saw.

Today, that same friend who I had been able to text before (but none of her responses to the group text came through) was not able to text me one-on-one. She received no notification that the text didn't go through. I had her delete all the old texts again, delete my old contact file and reload it, and reboot her phone. I was then able to receive texts from her again.

I don't understand why she used to be able to text me, then couldn't after the group text and still couldn't until she reloaded all my information. In fact, each person on the group text used to be able to send me messages individually, but once the group text came out, only one of them could. I don't want to keep having to ask people to reboot my information in their phone over and over and over. :(

Yes, this is what is happening to me ....

does it ever just work itself out over time after switching from IOS to android? Will their phones eventually realize what to do?
