So last Friday I got both my wife and I TBolts.

We had been with Blackberry Curves for 2 years and basically hated them. They were all jacked up, and never formatted the internet right in the first place.

The wife complained for months and I finally caved.

Best toys we've gotten in quite some time!

Well, yesterday I went in the kitchen to get a beer. Then I decided to grab my phone. Then I decided I'd be nice and grab her phone, too.

Well, one of them slipped out of my hands and ended up face down on the tile floor.

My heart sunk a little while I thought, 'Oh God, please let that be my phone!'

Of course it wasn't. It was hers. I made it one week and broke her dang phone.

She was bummed, of course. :(

im sorry man..

That sucks man I'm sorry.. I bought a case just for that reason.. I think if any phone needs a hard case shell to absorb the shock of the sudden stop at the end of a fall its the thunderbolt.. I love this phone completely and I would be devastated if it broke.

Sorry to hear that this has happened to you. My son did this with his Evo and he wanted his phone right away didn't want to get a different phone because of the way his phone is set up so what he did was paid it to get fixed cost him 80 bucks. But the damage was just on the outside hope everything works out.

Anyone else notice how prominent her light leakage is under the buttons? I couldn't pay attention to the shattered display with that beam of light blinding me lol. Call CS and complain about the light leak, maybe they won't notice the screen!!

That really sucks!

I got lucky, I did the same thing but had mine in a case. Main screen is fine but some how I put a small scratch in the tiny glass piece covering the front facing camera. I never used the camera but using it now it seems to not focus, it's real grainy. i'm guessing pre-drop/scratch it was crystal clear like the front camera on the iphone. Mines not worth paying the deductible for, I'll never use the stupid front camera.

I hope you have insurance on her phone. If so Asurion is very fast with getting you a new phone. At least they were with me with I dropped my old Incredible.

Yeah asurion is awesome. Their deductibles went up though. Not sure what the TBolt is but for the EVO it was $150

yeah they are good. 99 dollar mistake and her replacement will be here on Monday. still sucks though. lolz

OUCH! I would be crying. I hope you purchased the insurance plan.

Makes me a little nervous. I dropped my Storm about 4x and it held up perfectly, thank goodness.

Most times you can get a better deal with insuring your phone through your homeowners policy.

Verizon has a BIG deductible, plus they give you a refurbished phone for ~$9 per month, then, will only cover certain "faults."

My homeowners policy insured my phone for $900 with $0 deductible, all faults covered, with a new phone for $27.19 per year.
