Anyone using there att gs2 as hotspot ?

Can it be done? Do I need tethering plan or will it work from my data?

Thanks, Mad_Monk, what did you have to do on the sgs2, to get it to work.

keeps telling me i need teathering/ hotspot plan.

I have data. But guess I need something more.

Must admit i'm in the uk and use my sgs2 in hotspot mode for my Notebook and it works fine. i'm using vodafone.

Gophone accounts do not allow for tethering. You will need an contract account with hot spot plan for that service. You own data having bought the 500 mb, but AT&T does have restrictions on the way the data can be used. One restiction is tethering.

I tried on my gsII with the gophone acount and can't tether either.

Hi, Cattledog. We meet again. Lol.

Yes, so its keeps telling me. Lol
I really don't need to, just wanted to see if I could. I can and do use my phone for any internet, I need, when away from home and wifi.
I am enjoying my phone. Thanks.

You will most likly find if you have
a baged phone (phone supplied
by network) they will place their
own tethering restrictions.
