GS2 may not drop Friday!!!

While at best buy tonight I was told that only the top 216 sprint selling stores would be getting the GS2 all the others will have to wait awhile.

My best buy and radioshack both confirmed a Friday September 16th release, both going for $200 on upgrades and new lines.

I would write that store manager a nice customer suggestion letter, that somewhere in the body tells him that maybe if he ran his store better he'd get the stock for, and better yet, actually be notified of new releases that are at least one notch better than the Samsung Transform.

Ouch, that sucks for the stores that aren't among those top sellers! And also how exactly does delaying new products to the underachieving stores exactly help?

I wouldn't believe that Best Buy person cuz I live in an area that I KNOW isn't in the top 216 or whatever crap that best buy said and my store will have them Friday. On every big launch at this store u don't even have to pre order cuz not enough people come. I'm talking about Dartmouth Mass by the way.

dont understand why people listen to these people that only hear from someone else. I mean I doubt samsung will blow this launch after so much hype. This phone has been out there long enough for them to have plenty in stock, it is not like the design wasn't ready six months ago. Samung is only releasing it now to piss apple off, nothing else.

Unless you see something FROM SPRINT I wouldn't believe a word. And I'm talking like the sprint website NOT a CS rep or online rep,lol. I just spoke to my sprint store and they told me we are getting PLENTY.

RadioShack on York Road, Baltimore MD - They have no idea when they will get a shipment
BestBuy in Timonium, MD - They are not stocking the phone. They suggested trying Whitemarsh, MD.
BestBuy in Whitemarsh, MD - Phones not working and now not answering
BestBuy in Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD - No idea about availability
BestBuy MOBILE, Towson Mall, MD - No idea about availability... they are the mobile store!! crazy

Sprint Store #1469, Towson MD - They have plenty available tomorrow

Looks like I may end up having to get it from Sprint. I can't believe the BB staff are so useless and that the stores are not even going to be stocking the phone.

Concord Mills Mall, Concord NC. BB only has 3, I stopped by today at lunch and she showed me the three boxes. They could get more this afternoon but as of right now they have 2 still available. One is pre-ordered.

In my small town (< 12 thousand) the radio shack/hardware store will be getting the Epic 4G Touch in tomorrow. When the EVO 4G came out and was out of stock everywhere, they had 7 in stock

For what its worth, I spoke with someone at a small Sprint Store near my office. She said their store would not be getting them but one 10 minutes away would have plenty. The phone is technically on back order, but they expect to get them early next week. Apparently what happened is Sprint sent them out to a lot of stores, and took a bunch for contests, promotion, etc. Some Sprint stores ended up getting none. Same for BBM and Radio Shack. Some Best Buys have them, others do not. I called two Radio Shacks very near my house (thats where my Photon return is) and one has em, the other not till next week. Seems pretty hit or miss since the one that does is a "smaller" store that is almost never busy. This phone is CERTAINLY dropping tomorrow and seems to be a power house.
