So like 2 days ago i connected my s5 into the charger and realized it didn't charge. I didnt drop it in water but some water may have gotten in the charging port. Now my phone is dead and when I plug it in it shows the charging sign but then I click the home button and it says "The connected charger is incompatible wit this phone. To prevent damage to your phone, charging has been stopped." Ive tried all sorts of different cables so I thought it was the phone itself. What can I do to charge my phone? Is there a way to fix this because the phone still recognizes that im plugging a charger in the phone. Do I have to replace the charging port or is there someway to fix it because I think its not totally damaged. Please help thanks

Welcome to Android Central.

From what you say, it does sound to me like a faulty charging port, but there could be other damage. A proper diagnosis would be a good idea, even if you do any necessary repairs yourself.

If it is the charging port, you could always buy a wireless cover/charger as a workaround :)
