GS8 only playing out of one speaker when connected through aux cord

[Android Central Question]

I've tried plugging my phone into snowboard helmet speakers and my cars aux cord input to stream music and it's only playing out of one speaker on both devices, even when using different cords. When ive connected via Bluetooth to wireless speakers I don't have this issue. Have checked balance settings on phone and in car. Has anyone run into this?

grab a pin and see if you got something stuck in the headphone jack. Back in my LG G4 days I suddenly found the headphone plug would no longer snap into the headphone jack and figured it broke. Quickly had a replacement sent out only to figure out hours later there was lint compacted in the jack.
