Gsam battery monitor drains battery

It's weird that the app used for monitoring the battery usage drains a good portion of the battery, at least in my case. I had it installed sometime back and it started draining my battery so I uninstalled it. After a while I installed it again and it worked fine for a while. Then started draining again. Gsam doesnt show up in android's battery usage page. It only appears in gsam details. I haven't really heard any complaints on the net but Is anyone experiencing battery drain from gsam battery monitor.

I see 0.1% usage from GSam Battery Monitor Pro (within the app itself in the App Usage category). It may not show up in the Settings/Battery usage since it's usage is so low (less than one percent). Have been using GSam for years, and not noticed drain.

Same here. Never seen Gsam using more than 0.2-0.3%.

Battery monitoring apps always drain battery it seems. Most advise against them unless you are looking for a specific problem but not to use all the time. Better to download as needed then delete.
