I have a GSM Unlocked Galaxy Nexus and have been trying to receive the update but no matter how many time is do the Google Services Framework wipe, it hasn't worked.
My Dad who has an Orange locked Galaxy Nexus has received the 4.2.1 update but my phone is stuck on 4.1.1
Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

I've got the a Takju Play Store variant and have yet to get the update OTA either. Nexus 7 was updated over a week ago.

yakjuxw is a Variant for certain Carriers in Western Europe. From the article I read on XDA it is Supposedly updated by Samsung. Not Google. Check out

[GUIDE] Galaxy Nexus Firmware Guide: Variations, Who Updates What, etc.
it's on XDA Galaxy Nexus-Questions and Answers.

You might do yourself a favor and not update to 4.2 .... I plan on switching back when I get a chance. Its slightly buggy,(Not Life Threatening) and I don't like most of the changes. My GN is not as snappy as it was on 4.1 as well.

If you still want to update, try plugging it in and see what Kies provides.

Kies - Sync Media, Contacts & Calendars Across All Devices | Samsung

Kies has never worked on a nexus device because they are only for Samsung released units, that is, those that are touchwiz incorporated devices. Has there been an update on the software to include nexus already?
